Program not shutting down

by dwaind . Updated 22 years, 9 months ago

I reinstalled W2K w\spk4 on a Dell Latitude D600.
After installing some drivers and software and
then tried to restart, I get a ‘Ending Program-
Please wait’ window, the title bar reads ‘End
Program – Sample’, after clicking on End Now, it
appears again and after ending it again it finally
reboots or logoffs, it does it for either option.
I can’t track it down to get rid of it, I’ve
deleted all startup options including in the
registry and I don’t see any services that it could
be linked too. By chance, has anyone seen this
and know how to get rid of it. I think it is also
interferring with installing some software programs.
I click on Setup and I get the hour glass and then
it sits there, but only on 3 programs so far which
is installed on everyones laptop or pc.

Thanks
Dwain
