Program or executable

is there a program i can buy or an executable
script i can implement into a loginscript or email that will automatically copy the users my documents and create a copy of the contents in a folder on the server ?? this can either be when they log into the network or check their emails.

You can just create a one line batch file or add this to your logon script.

XCOPY C:\DOCUME~1\%USERNAME%\MYDOCU~1\*.* M:\%USERNAME%\ /E

Of course you will need to change the destination path to be what you need it to be. Also, I am assuming that Windows is installed in the default location on the C: drive.

I can think of many free ways you can do this yourself.

1) Navigate to the user's "My Documents" folder,
mine is "C:\Documents and Settings\John Greer\My Documents"

XCOPY *.* H:\*.* /s /c /i /k /h /r /o /x /y

assuming H: is the user's home directory on the server. You can add the /a or /m switch so that it will only copy what has changed.
Say XCOPY /? for details on syntax

2) Using PKZip or WinZip
Both will compress the results (obviously) and both will allow you to copy only things that have changed.
