I am a first year at the university of the gambia, computer science is introduced in to the university this year and most of the computer science courser we are doing are really difficult, i want to discuss with some one to know more about what i am studying e.g. Java Programming

SOA, DHTML, DOM, JAVASCRIPT, AND NETBEANS

OK, Now that you are beginning let me recommend something to you: SOA

Many many universtities are late on teaching this.

Second, programming is one of the most documented topic in the Internet. Java is free. Look for Netbeans or Eclipse as IDE's (Integrated Development Environment). I recommend Netbeans.

Other free things: php (www.php.net)(most web sites are built with it)

Finally, a great resource I use very often: http://www.w3schools.com/

Learn ECMASCRIPT (Standard name for javascript) and DHTML, DOM etc... web programming and SOA is the future.
