    PROGRAMMING MOUSE BUTTONS FOR IE

    Locked

    by mozster ·

I have a user with Windows XP and Microsoft Intellipoint 4 software+Microsoft Wheel Mouse which lets you program up the mouse buttons.

I want to program the wheel button so when clicked in Internet Explorer it performs the function equivalent to: Right Click, Open In New Window.

The Intellipoint software does not have this option as far as I can see, has anyone any ideas how to do this or assign a macro to the button that would do it for you?

Research did not yield the exact functions, see the following info
      IntelliPoint 5.2 Mouse Software

IntelliPoint software enables you to customize the unique features of your Microsoft? mouse to fit your needs. With IntelliPoint mouse software, you can reassign each mouse button?including the wheel button?to perform a command or keyboard shortcut, like Undo, Close, or an application-specific function. You can also modify mouse settings, such as pointer speed and updated horizontal scrolling. IntelliPoint 5.2 even offers biometrics support for advanced identity management. If you have a Bluetooth mouse or keyboard, you will need to have Windows XP with Service Pack 2 installed.
