Programs missing from start button

WhenI click on the start button and go to programs, there is nothing there. (there was all before I unistalled the Norton SystemWorks, Professional Edition) Is there a procedure that I can get my programs back up on the start/programs menue withoutthe drag and drop procedure ? Basicly I just want to bring them all back from wherever the went or do I have to reload Norton SystemWorks to get this work again
