Project free tv on Ubuntu

By thecareteam ·
I cut the cord on cable a while ago. Because of this, I have been looking for other options to watch shows. Project free tv seemed okay, but after reading some reviews, I decided I should run it on Ubuntu. My question is: If my Linux partition becomes infected, will it affect Windows 8 on the other partition? Also, Does using Linux is this situation decrease your chances of becoming infected?

properly should be in questions not discussions.

but unless you are using a butchered security distro [ those from cannonical or the offshoots, you know, ubuntu, kubunt, mints etc ] using linux will have zero impact on windows or 0 chance of infection.

with the butchered security of ubuntu et al, infections are a possibility.
but even they won't change anything on the windows partition, since only ROOT account has write access in any sane security setup.
[ ubuntu doesn't have root as runnable, so write access is everyone ]

Maybe you should have researched your options BEFORE you had cable disconnected...
