Hi folks, my compant is currently looking to get some PM software. Anyone know of any good ones? I've looked at MS Project EPM which is the kind of thing we're after. Any help is most appreciated

You will find many of the major construction firms and other large project types use Primavera. It has similar functionality, probably more functional in the costing modules. You can google and find hundreds of software products. Check out the project management institute ( for more information.

Primavera is a bit expensive. I guess it depends on your budget. We were planning to get Primavera but after a consultation with Gartner, they recommended MS EPM. Primavera is usually used by large firms while MS EPM is SMB.

This Whizible tool is a great tool for IT Services Management. I have used this tool in the past and it takes care of the complete project lifecycle with some really good reporting capabilities. I know couple of fellows in the company.... do let me know if I can help you in contacting them. They also have a very decent pricing model as compared to other tools like Primavera or Nikko...

Digit? Enterprise is a very good tool, if you are thinking about the long term. Your needs and requirements will increase as your organization grows, MSP EPM wouldn't be a good choice. From project creation to closure, Digit? provides a lot of customizable templates, helps automate all processes through custom workflows, you can even satisfy all the CMMI requirements!
You can visit for more information. Do take the product tour on the website for more information.

Take a look at Primavera P3 and also consider adding a schedule risk dimension to any PM solution - for example see:
