Project manager - where to go next? At h

By kay4kay ·
I currently work as a Project manager more on the delivery side of project, rather than business; however, I know I can handle the business end well(have done in it in the past)

Would like to move on to Operations/Resources and Pre-sales.

Questions are -
- what kind of opps exists for persons like me(who can simply manage projects on any platform)
- what is the avg. pay scale(somehow I dont find the surveys convincing)

Will somebody write to me on the subject.
Thx.

Check Out Headhunter.net. Their site has a skills matrix that can give you a more objective answer than I could.

Opportunities?
That's really up to you. You have to make those. Basically, you can sell project management skill in any arena. I jumped from IT to Health Care to Consulting to IT and it's been very positive when making any of those jumps.

Here in California, technical project managers, or those who work with any kind of technology project make a minumum of 80K with many of those positions paying 100-120K.
