About a month ago I was promoted to Corporate Account Manager for the ISP I work for. The meeting for this was held in my manager's office who talked about the HUGE plans he had for me with the company.

A month later and nothing has changed. My title hasn't changed, my pay hasn't changed, but I've got all the new work that comes with the new position.

On top of all this, I'm making more sales and bringing in more revenue than the other sales reps, but I'm getting paid the least.

I'mcurrently looking for a new job, but the area that I live in is pretty scarce and I have a family of five to take care of so gambling with my career is not an option.

What do you think I should do?

Suck it up.

That is how it works. Once you have proved yourself in the new role you will have the leverage you need.

Ask yourself - is the promotion about titles and money? Or is it about proving you can do something more than what you were doing yesterday?
