PROOF of climate change & Planet Destruction - WE'VE GONE TOO FAR

By maxwell edison ·
Okay, now they've done it! I'm now on-board with the save-the-planet-from-destruction zealots. You now have me on your side. You converted me. I just can't take this anymore.

Now those villainous Republicans, LED BY THAT NO-GOOD, PLANET DESTROYING, GEORGE W. BUSH - are exporting, or should I say out-sourcing, our planet destruction.

Destroying the earth is one thing, but now we've started to DESTROY MARS with our climate changing, planet destroying life-styles. It's just the Americans, however, so the rest of the earth's population is free from blame. We are destroying Mars all by ourselves, undoubtedly another result of those status-symbol seeking, planet destroying, SUV owners.

Now we've really done it. I hope the Martians don't get pissed off and invade Earth over this.

We all used to live on Venus, and look at what Bush did to that planet. Now Earth and Mars. I hear he's even responsible for the red spot on Jupiter!

You're half right. Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus.

OF COURSE! How could I have been so blind?

by maxwell edison In reply to Venus

Since MEN are from Mars, and women are from Venus, American women aren't to blame either. It's only the male (and only the white male, of course), anti-environmentalist, pollution-loving, planet-destroying, status-symbol seeking SUV owners, not the ladies.

How could I have missed something so obvious?

Thanks for the reminder.

Actually I took dunlap's Venus reference and stretched it to a tongue-in-cheek and totally off-topic reference to the book Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus. It's about the differences 'tween guys and chicks. I've never read the book but I should.

I hate to sound like 'Horshack' from 'Welcome back Kotter' but I have to ask this question. This goes straight to Max's observation about women not being responsible for global warming.

My wife and I have noticed an alarming trend of seeing what can only be determined as 'Angry White Man driving aMini-van' syndrome. While it seems to be a disportionate number of women driving SUVs. It may only be in this local area (Chicago) but is this part of a larger trend?

If it is then, Max, your theory of women not being responsible for planetary destruction by fossil fuels could very well be in jeopardy.

Station wagon

by Oz_Media In reply to Oh god...the soccer mom

Buty the Volvo wagons are a force to be reckoned with, and not as ugly as a Vista Cruiser wagon.

A fried of mine has an older (late 90's)Volvo Turbo wagon, it's a blast to drive down Robson street (Vancouver's trendy street where all the cool kids and cars hang out) and **** the doors off a 5L mustang with a station wagon. The girls in the baskseat of the Mustang don't know what to say, the passenger always blames the crappy driver. :)

I firmly believe we are already beginning to destroy another planet, and we aren't even finished with earth.

I say earth first we can strip mine the other planets later
