We are looking at linked server to create a Virtual Database Layer to fetch data from Several Databases which may be Oracle, DB2 , Sybase or even propritry Databases with ODBC interface.
Eventually we plan to create Reports on ASP.Net Webforms from the data fetched from various databases.
Do you suggest using Linked Server 2005 for the same ? Could you also mention the Pros and Cons of Linked Server.
