Proxy Server 2.0 Problems w/SSL Access

by doubleg . Updated 25 years, 3 months ago

I have a question that I was hoping someone might be able to shed a little light on for me.

This is a weird one:

We are using MS Proxy Server 2.0 here in our office.

Well one of our customers has this new Secure Site that requires a certain two ports to be open through the proxy. This should be something thats very easy to do by just going into Winsock Properties and enabling the ports right…. Wrong.

The thing that I dont understand is that there are only two machines here in the office that can actually access their site. Mine being one of them and then just another workstation. I cant figure out why just these two machines will work (well besides the server itself of course).

I have looked at the permissions and configuration settings on each of these machines and compared them to mine. Everything looks the same. I kind of thought that since I had admin priviledges that was one reason, but thats not the case.

Does this make any sense to anyone??

The error that im getting on the workstations is: 12204 SSL Port Specified is not allowed.

Any suggestions would be appreciated
