Proxy Server Riderection

By Cr@zy@ssM@g!c!@n ·
Where can i get an app to elude a proxy server. I am on a lan and would like to redirect my ip so i dont get monitored. I have tried internet proxy servers but that is to sloww. Does anyone know an app that can at least give me info as to where myProxy server is and i can probably do the rest of the dirt. Understand also that i am running under a windows 2000 enviroment.

Proxy Server Riderection

Your proxy server settings are usually set within your browser. For example in Netscape, go to Edit -> Preferences and click on Advanced & Proxies. On some networks, the routers are smart enough to redirect your queries to an external destination without help from proxies. (If you have no proxies set in your browser, this may be the case.) In one other case, the proxy settings can be downloaded automatically each time Netscape or IE is launched. This info will also be in your browser's proxy info. Before proceeding, you will first need to know which kind of redirection you have.

The second problem is in order to redirect through an alternate proxy or gateway, you need to know where it is. In most organizations there is only one way out to the Internet from the desktop. If there are any "backdoors" only your network administrator would know. Once you know the backdoor, you can either reconfigure your proxy or modify your routing tables accordingly.

There is no easy way to find a "backdoor".
