Hi
I archived my Outlook(2k)mailbox – all folders – and created a .pst file at the root of my C:/ named Archive.pst with the contents of e-mails older then 3 month
Then anytime after that when i clicked file/archive the e-mails older than 3month moved from my mailbox to the archived mailbox and
everything worked great.
So when i opened Outlook i could see two mailbox folders e.g Mailbox-My name and also an Archived mailbox below this where all my archived mails went into.
Both the archived mailbox and my mailbox had exactly the same folder structure, although of course they had different e-mails within these folders
Archived mail – Contained mail older than 3 month
Mailbox – Contained mail not than 3 month
(PST at this point was 100MB)
Now here is where the problem begins.
I deleted all e-mails in a folder named “Year2003” (55MB worth) thinking i would no longer require them. These e-mails were in my archived mailbox/folder
I then foolishly closed my archived mail version of my mailbox as i believed i no longer required any of my archived e-mails and the fact i had what looked like two mailboxes looked untidy.
I did so by right clicking my Archived mail folder in outlook and clicking the close option.
I continued to archive by clicking file/archive to archive my e-mails thinking that the Archive.PST saved at the root of the C:/ when imported would enable me to get back my “Year2003” folder.
The next time i archived after deleting the “Year2003” folder from my archived mail i looked at the .PST which went from:100MB – 103MB
However, although the .PST has continued to grow when i do a file import i can’t get back all the files into my own mailbox except for the “Year2003” folder which seems to have dissapeared completely.
Is there anyway to get this folder back as i have tried to import the Archive.PST but the “year2003” seems to be lost somewhere
Anyone with any suggestion please respond im desperate
