I’m in the process of rebuilding a computer. Got the hitech redundant power supply. It was all working fine when I tested it with an old ATX power supply now it fails to even show the bios start screen.
There are no beeps from the mainboard. Drives spin, the built in LED on the onboard network card lights up.
The only think I can detect is that the PSU is just a tad high in voltage when it’s not under load. Say 3.4x V | 5.4 V
I’ve checked all the logical stuff… no screw under the board, pulled the ram and drives out… nothing.
So the question is… is voltage being a we bit high (when not under load) likely to cause this to occur?
