PSU Problem

Hey guys im getting a new PSU tomorrow and i took mine out already but i left some info on my pc that i need...i tried setting up my PSU again (Never Did anything before with the Power) it looked like evreything was setup but the power button on the front of my pc doesent work because when i flixk on the switch on the back of the psu evreything starts up for about a second then shutsdown(it normal,it does that when you flick on the switch) so i know i have evreything set up exept for the Power Button..any suggestions?

Are you sure it is the PSU?

Talk voltage readings from it. Check to make sure the power button is connected to your mobo correctly, check to make sure that the ATX connector is properly seated, and make sure that the PSU isn't grounding out on anything.

try reseating all psu wirs and cables reseat all others incase they got knocked loose.

check everything is conencted properly, the plugs etc may be OK but the RAM or hard drive or CPU or CPU fan or video card may have come loose and the system is stopping due to not detecting all required components.

Take it to a trained professional to recover your information.

In the future, purchase and use backup software which will save your data to a DVD or tape.

check others

Try reseating...CPU, G/card, memory & diconnect CD Rom, HDD's etc to see if sys will boot to Bios. If u can try replacing G/c ,mem CPU, if prob still there maybe your M/board.
