You want to have the 871's Fa4(WAN) Interface configure with a public IP and then configure the internal VLAN with private IPs and have them still be able to access the internet? if so , you need to configure NAT on your router.
If you want to use the public IPs for your internal devices, I wouldn't do it, it's insecure. BTW, make sure you set up good firewall rules or ACLs to make sure your network isn't comprimised.
I suggest you use the Cisco SDM as it makes the process pretty easy.

public IP and private IP set up
Forgive me for asking basic question. I don't know where to ask.
I have a public IP Address from the ISP. In fact 16 IP addresses.
Also there is WAN IP address given by ISP, one for ISP and one for me.
I have a Cisco 877 Router.
I tried to set up one Linux server (172.17.8.24) to use one public IP.
I can't manage to do it.
Please help me in directing answer or point to the resources.
rgds,
