If you simply want to obtain html from java, then you can write it in any file (there's nothing special to html).

However, if you want to use java for dynamic sites, you should use an application server (like IBM WebSphere or Tomcat). There you will create servlets that tell the server what to send back to the browsers (you really should read a good tutorial or even a book if you are serious about this).

If you don't have an application server available and just want to full around with java (or you have some old application and don't want to port it to servlets), there's a little trick. You can use any scripting language your server recognizes (like php) and simply execute your java application (provided it will display it's output in the console and not through a graphical window).
