I am using Frontpage 2000 as the web editor and once i click on the publish via http:

it prompt me with the message:
” The Server you are publishing to does not have the Frontpage Server Installed. And therefore does not support publishing via HTTp.

i am using Microsoft Interset Service 3.0

    What should i do?

    Thanks,.,

You will have to install the Frontpage server on your IIS 3.0 server. It will be on the Options disk (or SP) that came with your NT package.

Note that you will most likely have compatibility problems using a new version of Frontpage and a very old version of IIS.

        Here’s my question:
        1. I downloaded Service Pack 6a from the microsoft site. Is the Frontapage include there?
        2. Is the Option Disk free to download?where?

The Option Pack was never “free to download”. In those days SP’s and most software still arrived on CD or disk via the mail.

The Option Pack which contained the IIS server I believe came with SP4. It was a “value-added” bonus if you will. If you do not have those disks then I’m afraid you will have to contact Microsoft or upgrade to Win2K server which does include IIS 5.0.

Sorry I could not just point you to a file.

Does the error you receive say that the FrontPage server EXTENSIONS were not installed? If this is the case then you can download the server extensions from MS free and install them on the server, which will then allow you to publish to the server.

      Hi

Are you publishing internally or to an external ISP? If you are publishing to an external ISP you must make sure that they support Frontpage server extensions. Most ISP’s support the extensions, so you may have to change where you publish the site. Your ISP should be able to verify the support and servers to publish to.

Hi. I don’t know what you are running for a server or O.S. so here is a link for all FrontPage downloads and info. Once you have installed the server extensions at the server you’ll find FrontPage easy to work with. Hope this helps. Any questions or problems you can e-mail me and try to help.
