There are a few ‘versions’ of the Q305217 patch. One for plain old IE6.0 and another for IE6.0SP1.
I’ve recently discovered an issue where trying to install the patch on IE6.0SP1 machines with the corresponding patch that we get an error message telling us we need to have IE6.0Sp1 installed in order to install the patch.
Finding the issue on W2K machines and XP as well. Some w/ W2KSP4, but most w/ out. Logged in as Admin to all machines.

Q828750, Q824145, Q832894, Q837009
Any thoughts on getting this patch in?
