QoS and RSVP Problems

by shanghai sam . Updated 24 years, 4 months ago

I am having problems with these two Windows 2000 functions. I am getting a error 42 when I attempt to connect from my Windows 2000 client to my SAP servers. I have downloaded and installed the most current Windows 2000 service pack which is spk2. I have referrred to several different TechNet notes: Q271989, Q263207 (they all point me back to the Spk2) as well as SAP OSS note: 180940 (which referred me back to the above Technet notes). According to the technet notes I have the most recent files:Rapilib.dll and rsvpsp.dll. They both have dates later than 09/22/2000 (which is stated in the notes) I have uninstalled and reinstalled Windows 2000 spk2 and the SAP client software several different times and in several differnet orders. I am still having the same problems. Currently I am trying to repair Windows 2000 to see if that will correct the problem. The machine works correctly other than the SAP connections. I get a pop-up window that tells me the partner (SAP server) cannot be reached. I can ping it without errors as well as log on from other machines without any errors. The next step is to totally reload the machine from scratch. (not a good option).
Thanks,
Scott
