Query logged on user from command prompt

By ellen.notehelfer ·
A stolen laptop has re-appeared on my network, physically connected but not joined to the domain. Given the size of my network, finding the culprit would be like looking for a needle in a haystack. Is there a command line query that will return the name of the logged on user?

Yes, there is ... go to sysinternals.com and download the PSTools. Among them, you'll find the psloggedon.exe, which will do exactly what you want!
