Query MS DHCP via LDAP?

By chrisruhl ·
Hello!

I've been asked to build a little UI that allows users to add and remove DHCP reservedIP entries on an Windows Server 2008 DHCP server.

The problem is - the UI lives on an AIX box running websphere.

My question is - can I use ldap queries to ad and remove info form the DHCP server. I am assuming ( and this could be invalid ) that DHCP live somewhere in Active Directory.

Any input would be appreciated!

The DHCP database on 2003 is a MDB file

do you really have to do this on AIX?

AD authorizes the DHCP server and controls who has access to the data, but the data is not in AD in 2003...I think 08 is the same.

I think the only way you could do this would be to use Windows services for unix, then manage the 2008 server DHCP scopes from the command line (or script).
