I am trying to copy everything from my C:\ drive to my external hard drive, but keep getting an error message, referring to “hiberfil.sys”. The error message is saying “cannot copy hiberfil: It is being used by another person or program. Close any programs that might be using the file and try again.”
Could you tell me why I would be getting this file, when I have nothing else open, and how I may be able to perform the task I am trying to perform, to be able to clean up my c:\ drive before reformatting it?
