Has anyone had the true joy of using the current version of QuickBooks 9.0. It is bug ridden and REGULARLY locks causing you to loose your work, place and at times mind. It routinely fails simple mathematical functions. It has taken us days to eneter in a few PO’s to establish our initial stock.
For example I am on a PO & I notice that I have duplicated a line, so I delete the line. Then apparently if QB is not to tired it will adjust the finance portion of the PO accordingly, however MANY MANY times it simply fails this and will say take only 41.03 out of a 158.00 transaction, at other times it will actually increase the dollar value of the PO. This is actually a secondary issue as far as problems go. Even worse is the fact that it continually gets tired and locks up. Inagine how frstrating that can be to get 4 or 5 fairly large purchase orders into. QB crack experts (yes Akmed & Salu) either do not know or will not tell you what the real issue is. It took us 3 to 4 phone calls to get them to admit that at least some of this were known problems. They were not able to any type of resolution date. In fact they tried to say that it could be alot of other things besides qb causing the issue. I tried to rather boldly tell them that this issue is happening on a windows 7 install with 3 Meg Memory & NOTHING else running but QB since a cold boot.
The on top of it all qb will NOT talk to ANY other credit card processor than Intuit’s. I am sure that this is 100% above board and does not violate any AntiTrust laws…sure.
If you are a new business owner trying to determine a POS system take my advice. Buy ANYTHING else, once you have expended the effort to enter your inventory into qb you will be stuck as it would take you too much time to then abandon QB.
Has anyone else experienced any of this nightmare, I cannot believe we are alone.
