Quick WIn200 Pro Question

I have a user that recently upgraded from Windows98 to Windows 2000. And now, on the desktop the Icons for My Computer, Recycle Bin, and Explorer as well as others are now White Icons with a Windows logo in the center. How do I restore these icons to their original intended graphical icons manually or otherwise?
