But the basics are If you need to control your Data you go with the Desktop Version.

If you need to have access to your data when you are in the office you go with Desktop.

If you can afford to have a Foregin Government Steal your Data and render the Managed Service that you use, unusable you go with the Desktop Version.

If you want to be able to access your Data anywhere on any device and have little to no security you chose the Online version.

Pretty simple if you look at what is involved you go with what you need the most.

      Quickbooks Online

I recommend QuickBooks Online over QuickBooks Desktop because it is easy to set up and use. Plus the ability to access your data 24/7 from any device with an internet connection prevents you from being tied down to a desktop computer.

      Hi,

To answer your query, both of these applications are good. It all depends upon the type of business and work operations you need it for.

QuickBooks desktop is packed with finance management features and is aimed to help you if your work is accounting extensive.
While, on the other hand, QuickBooks Online might not have many accounting-related features, but offers you cloud benefits of mobility and flexibility.
Also, there is a third-way to use QuickBooks, i.e. by hosting it on the cloud servers of Intuit Authorized providers. You get the features of the desktop version along with the benefits of cloud.

I hope my answer helps you make an informed decision.
      Thank you.
