Radio Stations

By john.cb1 ·
How can I get the BBC Radio Stations(plus other radio stations) so that I can listen to them while I am on my computer.

Do I need Realplayer or another software to do this.

What you are looking for is media streaming.

I go to the station's or networks web site and find the link for their stream.

Some use Real Media, others use Windows Media Player.

Sometimes, you can use either style of stream with Winamp from Nullsoft.

Once you find a stream you want to use, add it to your play list / favorites on the media player you are using.

One option is to install a multimedia card for capturing TV and FM radio from their free-to-air broadcasts. I have installed one from Leadtek - and it is working fine.

john both and most players have a browser gui and allow searches to be done for radio stations. If you'd like load realplayer from its site and install it. I think BBC is pre-linked on the news tab. if not just a quick search direcly from inside realplayer will find it . Happy listenning .
