Raid 5 and the system/boot disk

By MattsDad ·
It is my understanding that a Raid 5 configuration that includes the system/boot disk (C:) will not provide faulterance for this disk.

If C: is included in the Raid and it fails how will this effect the integrity of the data on the other disks?

If you are using software RAID, you CANNOT put the OS on a RAID volume. If you are using hardware RAID, then the OS simply sees the RAID artray as a simple volume, and hence, the OS can go on the array.
