I have an array of 8 drives controlled by a Raidion controller. Drives are configured as RAID 5 with one Hot Swap. This is used as a single volume under NetWare 5.1. I am adding another array of 10 drives. They will be RAID 5 also and the volume will be expanded to include these in the single volume. My question is this: Since I already have a Hot Swap drive in the volume, is there any need to create another Hot Swap when I intitialize the second array? Or is the Hot Swap drive assigned only tothe first set of drives and I should create a Hot Swap for the second set?
