I am uncertain as to what you are trying to say. I will take it that you want to set up the RAID controller to RAID 5 and then install either 2K server or XP. To do this you would first configure the number of hard drives you want to use in the RAID configuartion, the more the better. The best results are to use the same size and speed drives across the RAID. The RAID will not perform any faster than the slowest hard drive and the size will be determined by the size of the smallest hard drive. Use matched hard drives when ever possible. Once you have connected the drives to the RAID controller, start the computer and enter the controller's configuration settings to set up your RAID 5 configuration. The only other thing you need to do is to hit the F6 key when asked ( at the beginning of the installation ) during the installation of the OS. This allows you to install the drivers for the RAID controller so that Windows can properly access the drives during installation and reboot. Windows will ask you for the floppy disk containing the RAID controller's drivers again during the installation process, so keep these drivers handy. The installaion should proceed normally and all, hopefully, will go well.

I hope this helps.

download the raid drivers from the manufacturers website.
start the setup process, at the point that it askes if you want to install additional drivers press f6 or f8 (dont remember which one exactly, it will tell you).
use the diskette with the raid driver, if it's the correct driver it will tell you so.
Then proceed as with a normal installation.
