Raid 5/XP

I just did build a raid 5 five with Windows XP with four hard drives, when I went to look how much gigabyte I have is just 458 gig instead of 640 gig. please let me know what I can do to have my 640 gig out of my raid 5?

It seems fine.

The capacity of RAID 5 is (Number of HDs ? 1) times (size of the smallest of the 4 HDs) because of usage of parity.
In your case, each HD is 160GB and 160 times 3 is 480GB. Using 1KB=1,024Bytes convention, 480 GB divided by 1.204 dived by 1.024 comes to 458GB.
