Will Raid Drive work on any SATA hard drive or must the hard drive be made for RAID drive?

You can use a SATA HDD in a RAID Array

But you need to have a M'Board or RAID Controller that supports SATA Drives. You will also need at least 2 Identical SATA Drives to be able to use them in a RAID Array though depending on what type of RAID you want or can use it may be more drives than just the 2.
