I have been in the hardware field for a couple years now. This is the first time I am going to install a RAID setup. I am familiar with what RAID is and the difference between SCSI and IDE. My question is how do i go about physically setting up a SCSI RAID? I have an ASUS P2B-S motherboard with on board adaptec SCSI Controller. I also have an Advansys PCI SCSI Card. What should i use the on board or the PCI Card. I am going to use either 2 or 3 SCSI Drives. I have 2 68 pin drives 1 50 pin Driveand one 50 pin SCSI CD-Rom. How should I connect the drives they are all about the same size does it matter which one is master and which is Slave. and Will i get any issues from the SCSI Chain if i have 68pin and 50pin drives on the same chain?
