I am having problems with a RAID5 server, with NT4.0 & service pack6, 1024kb RAM, 750MHz, 4-9.1GB HD’s.
Sometimes the server randomly re-boots.
Frequently the server “locks up” the keyboard and mouse and we can not print to the network printers….However, the server permits our specific software to continue to save data to the server?
The motherboad, memory, network card and video card have been replaced.
Sometimes the server will function for 10 to 12 days and other times one of the problems will happen 3 to 5 times per day! This has been happening for about three months.
This is in a Police & 911 center and I need to resolve this issue asap. The server was installed in January 2001.
I would appreciate any new thoughts regarding this problem.
