I purchased 256MB DIMM from the local dealer and tried it in my computer and it would not work (motherboard about two years old). I took the memory back and the vendor exchanged it for what he said was a “higher grade” and told me that the density was to big on the first memory they sold me. I took the exchanged memory back and it worked just fine.
I have never heard of “density” as a term being used in conjuction with RAM memory.
How is density used with RAM memory??
Thanks,
Don
