RAM Speed

By sanwest ·
Just bought Dell 8400 with Windows XP. How can I tell that my 1.0 GB of RAM is the 533 MHz speed that I ordered? I looked at the memory cards and also checked System Properties but neither was any help. My computer's tech support team was no help either. Thanks!

Dell's part number is D5837. Number on each card is 512MB 1Rx8-4200U-444-10-A1.

You can also try this link:
http://www.lavalys.com/ and look for a software called "EVEREST Home Edition" is free!

This piece of software will tell you what MHZ speed your memory is, and everything you ever wanted to know about all of your PC's hardware and software.

Hope this helps!

Thanks all...think I found my answer. Sorry Sgt., don't know if those numbers were of any use, but I checked a different # in Samsung website (M378T6553BG0-CD5) and it says the D5 is 533 MHz.
