System: Soyo SY-K7 VEMPRO motherboard, AMD Athlon 1700+, 512 Mb SDRAM, 30GB Western Digital HDD and 16X DVD-ROM on primary IDE. Windows 98 SE, IE 5.5 Service Pack 2.
Problem: After installing and configuring the system, during DVD playback thesystem reboots itself for no readily apparent reason, at different places in the movie. Also happened after completion of IE5.5 download. Shut down and rechecked all connections, still doing it. I know this sounds like a rookie problem, but this one actually has me stumped. Anything I haven’t thought of to remedy this, short of trashing the system, would be appreciated.
