I have 2 computers running win98 hooked up to a router that is hooked up to a cable modem. The router is using MAC address cloning.
PC1 works and keeps a connection without fail.
PC2 randomly looses the connection to the router and needs tobe rebooted to get the connection back. The connection to the LAN and WAN is lost.
When just browsing the internet I have not lost the connection.
When using an online game called Tribes I loose the network connection in any where from 3 minute to 10 minutes after starting play.
This router/cable modem hookup is new, previously I used the Internet connection sharing between the PC’s and had the same problem. With ICS I could loose the connection (LAN and WAN) at any point no matter what software was running.
Any thoughts will be appreciated.
