The popularity of bitcoin is creating problems for criminals dealing in ransomware — and some are already casting their gaze towards a less volatile cryptocurrency such as Monero. So don’t be surprised if when you hear about attackers holding a system hostage with ransomware, they’re demanding Monero, not bitcoin.

What do you think? Will cybercrooks move away from demanding bitcoins?

      hello dear,

I know some ransomware infections that already ask Monero rather than Bitcoin. Actually, some threats already demand Dashcoin too! Most likely, they are turning away from Bitcoin because it has become harder to stay anonymous and withdraw cash.
