I have set up RAS on an NT server for remote access. I am using TCP/IP as my protocal and and aa client/server based application that requires a TCP/IP connection. Here’s the problem. I can create user accounts with dial-up privilages and they can log onto the server, but I get no TCP/IP capabilities. I can only get TCP/IP access using the password I assigned the administrator. With any other password I can not ping the server or get any TCP/IP based application to access the server. I have removed RAS and re-installed twice. I have also re-installed SP5 several times. I am looking for the solution that does not require re-loading the OS.
