RAS in NT servere

By vigo98 ·
Does anybody know how to setup RAS for VPN in NT server that is connected to Internet via DLS line. I don't want my remote users to dail-in using modems on the server, but whant to use existing DSL connection. When i'm installing RAS it gives me only modems as options.
Thanks in advance for your answers.
Victor

You need to install PPTP (Point to Point Tunneling Protocol) in the Protocols section of the Network control panel, and specify how many VPN connections you wish to allow. Then you need to configure VPN "dial up" conections on the client PC's, using the NT server's Internet IP address. If your server's IP changes because your DSL carrier uses DHCP, then it will be a bit difficult to maintain (client connection properties will need to be changed whenever server's IP changes). You can usually pay a few bucks more to get a static IP.

Hope that helps

Thanks a lot. Very good answer.
One more question though, when it asks about the ammount of connections, does it mean users connected, or different vpn groups of connections?

thanks again,
