RAS NT4 SP6 wksn dialing …NO DOMAIN?.

by pmk . Updated 25 years, 4 months ago

I have a NT4 Back Ofifce Server configured to receive dil in access.
I’m
using the administrator account with the proper rights for dial in.

I’m trying to logon on the the domain via dial-up networking.
I can connect to the server and when it tries to logon on the Domain I get
an error message saying that the domain controller can not be found. It
then loads the locally cached profile. Once that happens and I fully load
the OS I can disconnect the dial up connection and go to dial up
netwiorkign and dial the same connection and now I’m able to logon to the
domain. But I can not see the domain in network neighborhood. I only see
myself.

I have tried this with a static pool and DHCP on the RAS server, no luck.
I have also tried creating a LMHOSTS file and that didn’t work.
DO I need to add a route via route add -p x.x.x.x mask x.x.x.x x.x.x.x ?
What am I doing wrong?
