RAS won't browse after PDC failure

I had RAS all configured and happy. After a hardware failure on the PDC, DHCP and WINS services were installed on the BDC and then it was promoted. RAS is on a different server, which has the correct new settings. Since then, we are not able to browse the network or map drives using RAS. Client is getting correct IP config. One thing that isn't right is the IP addresses assigned to RAS in DHCP. There should be 2, but there's only 1. The 1 that's being assigned at the client doesn't show up in DHCP mgr. How does RAS "reserve" these IP addresses? TIA

You can configure RAS to issue IP addresses to clients and not using your DHCP server. That means that your WINS won't be used by the RAS Clients. Check your Client and see if they don't have LMHOSTS files configured for the old PDC. In this case they don't need WINS because they use the PDC browser list.

Check to be sure that "Allow TCP/IP clients to access this computer only" is not selected in your RAS configuration, under the network properties of RAS on your server. (Not in the Remote Access Admin tool).

Don't really understand your last statements about DHCP assigning RAS 1 IP address...? Maybe you mean the RAS clients? 1 IP address? I don't get you question. Client can get their addresses from either your static pool you create in the RAS admin tool, or your local DHCP server. If you wanna browse, be sure your client is in the same workgroup.
