RASMAN.DLL failed

By lanzoni ·
I am running Workstation 4.0 with SP6a (I have reinstalled it twice). I connect via BellSouth DSL. When I connect to BellSouth and AOL (via TCP/IP) I get the following message:

"Initialization of the dynamic link library c:\winnt\system32\rasman.dll failed. The process is terminating abnormally."

The only option on this dialog is to click "OK" and the connections with both BellSouth and AOl work just fine. The message is irritating though. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

check your event logs and find out what service failed. Your plug and play service might be disabled.

You need to get a file rasman.dll from any other NT machine and copy it to your c:\winnt\system32\ and your done. Or if this still not work a good service pack release is sp4 find the rasman.dll and copy it to your c:\winnt\system32\ .

Hope this help as this works for me.

thanks.
