This has been a problem with dell and other computers that use RDRAM,with bus structures being built for speed, this is a common problem that crops up,not to mention the video boards contribute to this problem with the card sharing the memory,so buying memory you have to be certain of the match up of bus speed and the mother board compatibility.

Shouldn't the people who sell systems test them before selling them? Dell blamed the software untill I complete over 40 hours of testing, and my 30 days to return the machine expired. Dell refuses to take it back even if they can't fix it!

Its not dell specific I have seen various technical articles that talk about rdram and it not being up to par. It hasnt really taken the market by storm. My father just bought a new dell with a 733 133 mhz fsb and RDRAM and a 64 meg ddr geforce and he has no problems at all. what is your specific problem? you can check Http://www.rambus.com for more information on rambus ram.

We have 2GB of ram and the machine doesn't to be able to consistantly run problems using over 512mb without crashing. I think it is a paging file problem.
