Re naming a volume

I am having a problem re-nameing a volume, I had to re-install win2000 on drive c, but my data is on drive d, I can access the data no problems, but it says I have insufficient permissions to change volume name( on second drive), I am using admin user logon. Any ideas how I can fix this?
