RE: RAS Win98 to NT4sp4 Server

Sorry about the short post last time. I was unaware of TR limits.

Unable to RAS. Here’s some more info:
ON THE NT:
+ The NT machine is 192.168.0.4 (255.255.255.0) and the static pool is set to 192.168.1.1 to .254 (same mask)
+ After DUN logs on win98 and the “unable to locate a domain controller to authenticate” message is seen on win98, RAS says it has an active connection (MSDOMAIN01\djr) on the RAS port.
+ Also, after this “almost” login, the event log says that RAS has succesfulyauthenticated djr on the port
+ DJR is admin and has the dial-in permission checked.

ON WIN98:
+ I can see the address of the “PPP adapter” (not the “dial-up adaptor” as I would have thought) when i get IP information.
+ I can go to a dos-box and ping the NT machine (192.168.0.4). I can also ping exactly two of the addresses from the “static pool”, with one of them showing about 70ms of time (through the modem?) and the other showing less than 10ms (my local adaptor?)

Thank you for your time on this
