Read the email messages from the backup
domain controller. Each server has Exchange Server on it with their own
site name. I have setup the Exchange directory replication between both
servers. The directory replication appears to be working.
What I want to be to do is read the email messages from the backup exchange
server when the primary goes down. Currently, I can promote the backup
domain controller to the primary. But I am unable to access the when I try
to access the mail accounts. I thought the purpose of directory replication
was to copy the mail accounts to the other server. Am I wrong? If not, what
am I missing or doing wrong? If so, how can I setup a backup exchange
server so that if the primary goes down, I'll still be able to access the
mail messages. Do I need another tool or software? Any help is
appreciated.
Thanks,
