Received/send exterior email GW

By bernardasselin ·
Hello !

I search how it is possible to send a email to my GroupWise from my home. Also some people try to send me message on my GroupWise but are not able.

Also when I try to send a message from my GroupWise to the "exterior"
(for example a person who are not on the GroupWise - if I try to send to
my home email ) I can't.

Can you help me please ?

Thanks and have a good day !

Your GroupWise mail system needs to have an Internet Mail Agent installed and configured to send and receive external (Internet) mail.

Go here for additional information:

Ihe internet agent must be installed and properly configured. If you want to use simple addressing when sending (like bob.happy@somewhere.com) you must setup an External Foreign domain set and create addressing rules. The simple answer for now is to send out external mail in the following format:

GWIA:"bob.happy@somewhere.com"

Also: You need to make sure that DNS is proerly configured on your Neware server. Make sure that you have the proper entries in your resolv.cfg file in SYS:ETC\. It should look something like this:

domain ***Enter your Domain Here***
nameserver 198.6.1.5
nameserver 198.6.1.4

I hope this helps!
